Amber McCarthy:

Amber McCarthy, 34, learned she was HIV positive in 1997. Since then, she has spoken about HIV and substance abuse in group homes and at sessions organized by Planned Parenthood. She was sexually abused as a child; since then, she says, she has undergone a considerable amount of healing.

Amber describes herself as a "queer, Buddhist witch" who is "interested in joining others with like minds to build heaven on Earth." She loves life and is planning on staying on this planet for a long time -- one day at a time.
