HIV Awareness Program Targets D.C. Students

Weekend Edition Sunday, May 18, 2008 · Washington, D.C., has the highest rate of the nation's reported cases of AIDS. The organization Metro TeenAIDS is trying to combat the epidemic.

Liane Hansen also speaks with Dr. John Jemmott, a professor in health psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, who has helped to develop the curriculum taught in HIV/AIDS awareness classes across the country, including those used by Metro TeenAIDS in Washington.
