Biography

The journal, PLoS Medicine published a report on the costs and consequences of the recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that routine opt-out HIV testing be offered in all health care settings for people 13 to 64 years of age. The author is David Holtgrave, Ph.D., professor and chair of the Department of Health, Behavior and Society at the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University. Holtgrave spoke with the Kaiser Family Foundation's vice president Jackie Judd.
