World Bank Approves $10 Million Grant to Rwanda for HIV/AIDS Efforts
April 29, 2008 The World Bank recently approved a $10 million grant for Rwanda to help the country's HIV/AIDS efforts, the New Times/AllAfrica.com reports. According to a World Bank release, the funding is in addition to an initial grant of $30.5 million, which was allocated two years ago. The new funding will "assist the government in consolidating the gains from the initial investments, focusing on interventions with the most significant impact with regard to HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care," the statement said.
