Canada: New HIV Test Provides Results in Seconds

Health Canada has approved a new test that can detect HIV in 60 seconds using a drop of blood. The INSTI test uses a chemical dye to detect HIV antibodies. "Patients can get immediate, accurate results and avoid the grueling 10-day wait period," said Matthew Clayton, executive vice president of British Columbia's bioLytical Laboratories.
