now that Roche has abandoned us -whats left?
Jul 24, 2008

Nelson, I heard that Roche will stop manufacturing hiv drugs? Is that true? Whats left then? Benny

Response from Mr. Vergel

Dear Benny

Roche is not abandoning HIV. They will still sell Fuzeon and Invirase. They may buy the rights of HIV drugs made by biotechs. I really hope they stay in HIV since they may buy all rights of Genetech who now owns the rights of TNX 355, an monoclonal antibody that can be infused every two weeks to control HIV along with a background of HAART.

Wow, I am getting a lot of interesting drug development questions lately!

Nelson
