How long will I live, or time for career change?

Im newly diagnosed in 2008- im freaking out...i think my life and career is over! How long can i live, is it time for a career change?

Response from Mr. Vergel

The fact is that newly diagnosed people like you will probably have a full life like everyone else without HIV. Do not change any plans or use HIV as an excuse not to go after your dreams. That was probably true 20 years ago, but not so much today.

Make sure you get treatment if your CD4 cells are approaching 350 cells per ml. Take a multivitamin, exercise, eat lots of vegetables, fruits and lean meats, and manage your stress!

HIV is a wake up call that many people use to get healthier, but some others use it to get into self pity and self destructive behavior.

Just know that there are millions of us, so reach out when you need help!
