cd4 count
Aug 17, 2008
second question. i realize that im at a significant risk for infection seeing that my cd4 count is at 170. there is no way that i could have been possitive for more than a year. so for it to go down that fast is i think "crazy"..but the fact that i have never had a symptom...not a sign of it is bizzar. i work 6-7 days a week as both a PAB and im a nursing student so i am extremely suseptable to all kinds of infecting.TB, MRSA, c-diff,ect.. of course i take procausions where needed but i must be pretty strong if ive never shown anything. (not that im trying to get you to tell me i dont have to start treatment. i will start it very soon.this week i believe) but the question is. why am i not seeing any difference in myself? pretty much in any sense?
Response from Dr. Holodniy
If your CD4 count is now consistently below 200 it would likely be a matter of time before you would start to have symptoms or develop opportunistic infections.
